Lazaros Papadopoulos is MVP of the VTB United League 9-th round11 march 2011

The Expert Council of the League identified the top players after the matches of 9-th round of VTB United League.

The MVP of the tour has been declared the center of Russian BC Khimki Lazaros Papadopoulos, who became a very versatile player and a leader of his team in a home play with the Latvian VEF. He spent 26 minutes on the court, took 20 points (9 out of 10 scored from the play and 2 out of 2 free throw), made 6 rebounds, 2 block-shots, 2 assists and eventually earned 29 points for effective actions.

In a symbolic top five of the 9-th round, along with Papadopoulos, are forward Kelly Mac Carty (UNICS), guards Frederick House (Azovmash), Martynas Pocius (Zalgiris) and Martynas Gecevicius (Lietuvos Rytas).

... Becoming the winner of 9-th round, Papadopoulos joins the list of contenders for the title of MVP on the basis of the regular season of VTB United League. The holder of the season waiting for a super prize — a korean SsangYong Rexton off-road car, granted by official sponsor of the League by «Sollers». «Most Valuable Player» of the regular season will be determined by a vote of all clubs participating and taking into account points scored by players during the season — for the MVP and getting into the symbolic five in each round.

The award ceremony honored and valuable prize will be held during the «Final four» of VTB United League.
