Asefa Estudiantes signs Marc Blanch 17  august  2010
Asefa Estudiantes announced another signing for the upcoming season. The Students are very active this summer and their latest addition is a sharpshooter Marc Blanch (195-F-82). The 28-year old Spaniard is coming to Estu from Basquet Mallorca, where he played since 2005.
Last season, Blanch shined with 14.1 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.7 apg and 2.2 spg for 34 games in LEB Gold. Mallorca finished as No.12 with 16-18 record. On season 2008/09, Blanch had almost the same numbers. He also appeared 34 times registering 14.1 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 1.7 apg and 2.5 spg. For his performance, Blanch was awarded with All-Spanish LEB Gold Honorable Mention -09. He was also named Spanish LEB Gold All-Defensive Team -09.
Marc Blanch joined Mallorca in 2005 from LEB 2 team Aguas Valencia-Expobar. In his first season with Mallorca they reached the LEB1 Cup Finals. In the past, he also played for Mataro and CB Prat.
Asefa Estudiantes will compete in ACB and EuroCup in 2010/11. They avoided Qualifications and are placed directly to EuroCup regular season. Estu finished last season in Spain as No.7. They failed in the Playoff Quarterfinals against Caja Laboral.
