Matt Nielsen became the last signing for the Russian team. The experienced Australian signed a two-year deal with Khimky Moscow. Nielsen spent last season with Olympiakos. He had 9 ppg and 3.8 rpg for the Reds in 16 Greek league games. In Euroleague, Nielsen added 4.4 ppg and 2.9 rpg. He helped Olympiacos to defend the Greek Cup trophy this year.
Alexey Zhukanenko meanwhile started to practice already with the main group. The National team player can not help the Russian National team. The player had an ankle injury and will not be able to join the team.
