Some teams already advanced to the Last 32 this week already. One of them, Union Olimpija Ljubljana, is on the brink of doing so also, and it is in such good position thanks to the great performance of Sasu Salin who, racked up the best index rating among winning players this week, 32, to become the weekly MVP.
Salin led Union Olimpija in a home blowout win over Asvel Villeurbanne by 86-48 thanks to his 25 points — 5 of 6 three-pointers -, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 4 fouls drawn. The player with the highest index rating this week, though not eligible because his team lost, was a familiar face: Mouphtaou Yarou of Radnicki Kragujevac with a 43 index rating thanks to his 27 points and 18 boards. Marcus Lewis of BCM Gravelines Dunkerque was third in line this week as he matched Salin also with a 32 index rating even though his team also lost.

Individual highs: Seven players with 4 steals each!

Two players led all scorers this week as Bobby Dixon of Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir and John Williamosn of Bisons Loimaa posted 28 points apiece in respective wins. Yarou was, once again, the best player under the glasses thanks to his 18 rebounds, 12 defensive and 6 offensive. As many as three players managed to dish 8 assists this week: Petteri Koponen of Khimki Moscow Region, Donta Smith of Maccabi Haifa Bazan and Nikos Zisis of Unics Kazan. The three of them won their games. In defense, as many as seven players shined with 4 steals apiece! Georgios Bogris of PAOK Thessaloniki, Donell Cooper also of PAOK, Quinton Hosley of Virtus Rome, Nikola Otasevic of MZT Skopje Aerodrom, Salin of Union Olimpija, Smith of Maccabi Haifa and Dijon Thompson of Nizhny Novgorod. Finally, Marco Cusin of FoxTown Cantu was a giant in the paint as he stopped 5 offensive playes of the rivals with as many blocks.
