Sergey Bykov re-signs at Unics 30  june  2014
Unics Kazan (VTB) confirmed in their roster 31-year old ex-international guard Sergey Bykov (190-95kg-83). In 9 VTB United League games he recorded 8.2ppg, 1.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.7spg last season. Bykov also played at Lokomotiv that season. In 10 games he averaged 5.7ppg, 1.5rpg, 2.5apg and 1.0spg last season. He also played 9 games in VTB United League where he averaged 6.7ppg, 2.4rpg, 3.4apg and 1.3spg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Russian PBL All-Domestic Players Team in 2012.
Bykov was also a member of Russian international program for some years. He played for Russian Senior National Team between 2007 and 2013 and previously for U20 National Team between 2001 and 2002. Bykov also represented Russia at the European Championships in Lithuania three years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 11 games: 5.1ppg, 2.0rpg, 3.0apg, FGP-2 (75.9%), 3PT: 15.4%, FT: 75.0%.
Bykov has played previously for four other Russia teams: CSKA Moscow, Spartak Vidnoye, Dynamo Moscow and Universitet-Yugra.
The scouts decsribe him following way: An SG who made a succesful transition to the point some years ago. He's very quick on the open court, passes the ball very well, and, of course, can finish by himself and shoot from the distance.
