PBC CSKA
After six years of fruitful mutual collaboration our club splits the ways with assistant coach Dmitry Shakulin.
Shakulin joined CSKA coaching staff in 2008 and he has played an important role in the Army Men winning of 6 Russian League titles, 4 VTB League golds and 5 Euroleague Final Four participations. The Russian specialist assisted head coaches Ettore Messina, Evgeny Pashutin, Dusko Vujosevic and Jonas Kazlauskas. He also was an interim coach during three months of 2010-11 season.

Our club thanks Dmitry for huge amount of work, devotion and dedication. We are sure that Mr.Shakulin has enough knowledge, experience and talent to become top-level head coach. We sincerely wish Dmitry good luck and success in his new role.

Dmitry Shakulin:
I found myself in completely new situation. I faithfully served CSKA for many years, felt myself a part of the club and the team. I am leaving here a lot of people who has become like a family to me. I had a chance to say goodbye and wish good luck to many important persons here already. I would like to thank all the head coaches I worked with – they willingly shared their knowledge and experience. The past season was special to us: despite the absence of the foreign players’ limit on the floor we won the title in Russia again, we confounded the skeptics by winning 9 games in a row after to losses on the start of playoffs. I am glad that I had a chance to work with many great players, especially Victor Khryapa and Sasha Kaun, Russian players who were always ready to say loaded word in the game. The gold has become eighth for me including two titles as CSKA player. Hopefully I am not stopping here and I will be able to reach another victories.
