Greek Andreas Pistiolis, 35, has become CSKA assistant coach.
The Army Men newcomer is a Panathinaikos alumnus. He played for the club’s cadet and junior teams, then he was one of the youth teams’ coach simultaneously studying in the Sports University of Athens. He was named Zeljko Obradovic assistant in 2007. Pistiolis left the team with all coaching staff in 2012 after winning 2 Euroleague titles, 4 Greek League titles and 3 Greek Cups. He was Dimitris Itoudis’ first assistant in Banvit during 2013-14 season.

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
We are linked with 7 years of working together, Andreas was my pick to the Panathinaikos coaching staff where he easily found common language with Zeljko Obradovic. It was supposed initially that he will just help the players with individual workouts but by hard work and ability to analyze he quickly took the bigger role. Andreas knows my style and philosophy. We had great year in Banvit and I am glad that we will continue to work together.

Andreas Pistiolis, CSKA assistant coach:
It is an honor and a privilege to become a member of a unique organization such as CSKA and to stand on the side of coach Itoudis. I will work hard having one goal in mind and helping our team to succeed!
