Turkish League semifinalist Banvit Bandirma, started shaping its roster for a new Eurocup season with a two-year contract extension for guard EJ Rowland, one of the team's top performers last season. Rowland (1.88 meters, 29 years old) started in all the 15 Eurocup games he played with Banvit last season. He averaged 15.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.8 steals in almost 29 minutes per game. In the Last 32, he ranked in the top 10 for several categories including fouls drawn (third), field goals made (fourth), steals (fourth), points (sixth) and index rating (eighth). It was his first year in Banvit and in Turkey. Before that, he had played in the Eurocup with the Artland Dragons of Germany (2007-08) and VEF Riga of Latvia (2012-13). He also played in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague with Unicaja Malaga of Spain (2011-12).
