For its long-awaited return to the Euroleague, French champ CSP Limoges has added a big dose of experience with the signing veteran point guard Pape-Philippe Amagou for the next two seasons. Amagou (1.85 meters, 29 years old) arrives from having played four of the last five seasons with another French club, Roanne.
Last season, he averaged 9 points and 4.2 assists in 31 minutes per game. Amagou has already played 13 pro seasons, the first five with Le Mans, where he was French champion in 2006 and debuted in the Euroleague the next season, with 4.1 points on average over 14 games. He also played five Eurocup seasons between Le Mans, SLUC Nancy and Roanne, averaging 7 points and 2.3 assists over 46 games total. Amagou played one season only outside France, with Kavala of Greece.
In other moves, Limoges announced that it has re-signed big man Frejus Zerbo, who spent the last two seasons with the club putting up 2.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in 10.5 per game. Zerbo (2.08 meters, 25 years old) has also played for Le Havre and Gravelines-Dunkerque in the French League and on the Ivory Coast national team with Amagou.
